Spring Valley Angus welcomes you to our farm! Our farm is located two miles west of LaMoure, ND on Highway 13.

 

Richard's father (Walter Jr.) introduced him to registered Angus cattle as a young boy. He participated in 4-H with his cattle and in many cattle shows. Knowing cattle was truly in his heart, in 1980, he started Spring Valley Angus. The herd has grown since then and now Richard has about 250 registered Black Angus cows.

 

We do AI breeding, using SAV 8180 Traveler 004, Grandview Womack Direct, Vermillion Dateline 7078, WCC Special Design L309, Womack Security, Bon View New Design 1407 and BR New Frontier 095. Our herd bulls are 4G 234D Traveler 272, 4G Lucy Boy and Spring Valley Bruno 3530. We strive to produce well-balanced cattle with favorable birth weights and well-balanced EPDs. We utilize AHIR and use ultrasound for carcass testing.

 

In 2000, we expanded our herd to included registered Red Angus.

 

We hold an annual bull sale the last Wednesday in February. Our goal is to produce top quality bulls with balanced EPDs and carcass traits to choose from.
